It seems almost certain that Lillie will accomplish her goal of heading to Kanto to become a Pokémon trainer, but the question is when this happens in the game. A Z-Ring will allow trainers and their Pokémon to issue more powerful moves and more Z-Moves will be introduced in the game than Pokémon Sun and Moon had. We know that Z-Power will be a big part of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon based on a press release issued earlier this year by The Pokémon Company. However it happens, the chances of Nebby and Lillie reuniting are pretty high.įinally, Lillie’s Z-Power form is another clue. Or Nebby may be one of the first Pokémon Lillie catches coming to Alola as a trainer. She may even return as a trainer and challenge the player to a battle to see how far Nebby as come. We can assume that Lillie accomplishes her goal of becoming a trainer in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Instead, Nebby has to go with the player while Nebby heads off to Kanto to train. In Pokémon Sun and Moon, Lillie tells Nebby that the Pokémon can’t travel with Lillie because she’s not a trainer. The poster also hints at Nebby and Lillie’s reunion. Coincidence? Lillie’s Z-Power form is also how we last saw Lillie before she travelled to Kanto at the end of Pokémon Sun and Moon to pursue becoming a trainer. That may not have seemed like an important detail at the time, but remember that Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon take place in an alternate universe. Pokémon Sun and Moon revealed that Lillie was heading to the Kanto region to become a Pokémon trainer after being inspired by your player’s journey. The poster, which was uploaded by NeoGaf user GSR and seen below, has Lillie posing with a Pokè Ball, which seems to confirm she completed her goal of becoming a trainer.
A new poster for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon suggests that everyone’s favorite travel companion, Lillie, will have a much bigger role in the new games.
